America’s Possibilities Don’t Rely on Politicians | The Real Ratigan

Don’t make the mistake of believing that the Presidential politics that we are witnessing in this country in any way represents the possibility of America. America’s possibilities have never been greater. From Chicago to Dallas, Seattle to Miami, technology, people, education, resources. People across this country are seizing new ideas and delivering new solutions every single day. Our politicians are tuned out to that completely. Don’t mistake what they’re talking about in Washington D.C. and what our presidential candidates are thinking and saying with our own country. We in Chicago, in Dallas, in San Francisco, in Los Angeles, in Maine, in South Carolina; We are America. They are not America. We are living a life of infinite possibility. They are living in a tiny, little prison where they battle for power over an increasingly small portion of us that even pay attention to them.

  1. "They are living in a tiny little prison where they battle for power over an increasingly small portion of us that even pay attention to them…" => I thought you were describing working for an investment bank. Isn't that what bankers' bosses do? 🙁

  2. i really wish you'd look into the camera, the off-camera address just doesn't register well. the message is substance, the 'direction' is the wrong style, at odds with the remit.

  3. Very nice, but what about the anti-constitutional laws they are making and taking away rights? That does have an impact. It is certainly a stupid game [politics] but the consequences of having bad people in official places can be life threatening to the general public.
