Court race is officially three-way contest

THE FIRST MAJOR, STATEWIDE RACE IN WISCONSIN THIS YEAR, THE RACE FOR STATE SUPREME COURT. IT’S OFFICIALLY NOW A THREE-WAY CONTEST. CANDIDATES HAD TO FILE AT LEAST TWO THOUSAND SIGNATURES TO QUALIFY FOR THE BALLOT. OUR EDITORIAL PARTNER WISPOLITICS.COM SAYS SAUK COUNTY JUDGE MICHAEL SCRENOCK TURNED IN THE MOST SIGNATURES, WITH 3,539. MILWAUKEE COUNTY JUDGE REBECCA DALLET TURNED IN 3,073 VALID SIGNATURES. AND MADISON-AREA ATTORNEY TIM BURNS CAME IN WITH 2,159 VALID SIGNATURES. THE PRIMARY IS FEBRUARY 20, AND POLITICAL ANALYSTS SAY IT COULD BE THE FIRST REAL TEST IN WISCONSIN OF THE DEMOCRATIC VOTER ENTHUSIASM SEEN IN OTHER RACES AROUND THE COUNTRY LATE LAST YEAR. THANKS FOR BEING WITH US TODAY. I’M KENT WAINSCOTT. MIKE GOUSHA WILL BE BACK NEXT WEEK, ON UPFRONT. YOU CAN SEE TODAY’S PROGRAM ON OUR WEBSITE,
