In 2011 I had problems with the eyes, and went to the doctor he told me I was getting cataracts. 8 years later, I had to get the bus to Belfast in 2019 because I could not get them done in Cork or anywhere in this country. The operation was 15 minutes it’s 5 hours up 5 hours down and can not get it done in the south of the country because of HSE cut backs. Straight after the operation I could see perfect it was like I got a new set of eyes. The Government parties at the moment they promised us the sun, moon and stars and nothing comes out of it. If I didn’t go to Belfast, I’d be stone blind today. Try living a week with the pain and with your eyesight going and you know that in a couple of months or in a couple of weeks you could be stone blind while the Government stand up and say they’re proud of what they’ve done for health. If it was left to the Government I would be blind today. They should be really, really ashamed of themselves 553,534 patients are waiting for an outpatient appointmentt under Minister Harris vote for Fianna Fáil so we can have a great health care system.
