Trump’s Dirty ATTACK on Elizabeth Warren

Trump’s Dirty ATTACK on Elizabeth Warren

>>The Trump administration, of course, is
trying to mischaracterize individuals like Elizabeth Warren and what they wanna do with
climate change, or to combat climate change. And one of the things that they keep latching
onto is that these lefties are going after your straws, they’re going after your hamburgers. And so in an effort to push this message out,
they took a portion of Elizabeth Warren’s answer from the CNN town hall last night and
they edited it down to make it appear as though the only thing she’s focusing on is attacking
your burgers. So here is what the Trump campaign released,
and then we’re gonna show you the full context of what she said. Take a look.>>In the business of telling you what kind
of lightbulb you can have.>>Come on, give me a break.>>Is that a yes?>>No, look, there are a lot of ways that
we try to change our energy consumption, and our pollution. And God bless all of those ways. Some of it is with lightbulbs, some of it
is on straws, some of it, dang, is on cheeseburgers, right? There are a lot of different pieces to this,
and I get that people are trying to find the part that they can work on, and what can they
do. And I’m in favor of that, and I’m gonna help
and I’m gonna support.>>So that was what the Trump campaign released. But they did not include the rest of her answer,
which I actually think was a strong answer. It goes back to a point I’ve been trying to
make about how combating climate change is not just about individual actions. In fact, that’s a small part of it. The real issue is the fossil fuel industry,
and that’s what you’re about to hear in the rest of Elizabeth Warren’s answer.>>And I get that people are trying to find
the part that they can work on, and what can they do. And I’m in favor of that, and I’m gonna help,
and I’m gonna support. But understand, this is exactly what the fossil
fuel industry hopes we’re all talking about.>>That’s what they want us to talk about. This is your problem. They wanna be able to stir up a lot of controversy
around your lightbulbs, around your straws, and around your cheeseburgers. When 70% of the pollution, of the carbon that
we’re throwing into the air, comes from three industries. And we can set our targets and say by 2028,
2030, and 2035, no more. Think about that, right there. Now, the other 30% we still gotta work on,
no, we don’t stop at 70%. But the point is that’s where we need to focus. And why don’t we focus there? It’s corruption. It’s these giant corporations that keep hiring
the PR firms that does this, everybody has fun with it, right? Gets it all out there so we don’t look at
who’s still making the big bucks of polluting our earth.>>So she actually went further in discussing
the fossil fuel industry and how it has corrupted lawmakers. I wanna give you one other quote, she said,
and this is graphic three. The first thing we’ve got to do is we’ve got
to attack this corruption head-on in Washington and say, enough of having the oil industry,
the fossil fuel industry, write all of our laws in this area. No more, no more. That was, in my opinion, her strongest moment
during this town hall.>>Now, that was fantastic. And so, look, guys, I’m guilty too, and the
Republicans make a huge thing out of it. So we all try hard, and there’s different
things that we’re not on. Have you ever thrown a Coke can or a beer
can in non-recycling? Yeah, sometimes there’s situations where there’s
no recycling around. What are you gonna do, carry it around three
different states until you find a recycling one? Yeah, sometimes that happens. In one of our shows, on Old School, I talked
about I hate paper straws, I can’t stand them, okay? I had a cheeseburger for lunch. So that doesn’t mean that you go, okay then
give up. Then don’t do anything, right? No, try to recycle when you can, etc. But when you’re doing everything that you
can, even if you’re imperfect, what are the areas that you could have the biggest
impact on? And that’s where you gotta keep it real. Government has the biggest impact because
of decisions it can make about those industries. So if three industries cost 70% of problem,
I love you, try to use people paper straws instead of plastic straws, and I’ll try too,
okay? But we should spend a lot more of our time
and energy focusing on the people that are causing the overwhelming amount of the problem,
right? And that’s obviously the fossil fuel industry. It’s the most obvious thing in the world. The reason Trump lies about it by deceptively
editing that video, is they get money from the fossil fuel industry.>>Of course.>>They are the bad guys. So the Trump team and by the way, it’s not
just Trump, and a lot of the media trying to paint it that way. The entire Republican Party, they all take
money from the fossil fuel companies. And by the way, half the Democratic Party,
okay, they take money from those companies. And so to answer Anderson Cooper’s question
from 2016, when he incredulously asked Bernie Sanders, are you saying it affects their votes? Of course, of course it affect their votes. Why do you think the oil companies give those
guys, when you count all the lobbying, billions of dollars to politicians? For their health? For our health? No, it’s to buy them off, and they do. As Bernie Sanders pointed out, when you include
not just subsidies but tax breaks, the fossil fuel companies get $400 billion a year. Why are we paying the most profitable companies
in the world? I mean, that is bare minimum. I mean, he talks about phasing that out. I’m sure there’s practical reasons for that,
but that’s a situation where I’d be to the left of Bernie Sanders. I would wanna stop that on day one.>>You have to. I mean, it’s really the only way you can get
anything accomplished. If you allow this corrupt system to take place,
then you’re not gonna have any lawmakers on your side, even as they argue that they’re
part of your party and they wanna fight with you.>>Yeah, no I mean, look, if a politician
takes money from fossil fuel companies, you know who they’re gonna serve. They’re not gonna serve you. They’re not gonna serve the planet. They’re gonna serve the people writing them
checks. And everyone except the folks on TV know this. But that’s why I’m giving CNN credit, and
a lot of the Democratic candidates credit here, cuz finally we’re having a conversation
about the real problem. You can have all the cheeseburgers in the
world that you want, as long as we actually go after the fossil fuel companies creating
most of the pollution.

  1. To bring much needed focus to the pivotal issue of climate change, TYT is raising funds to host a Climate Change Town Hall. http://tyt.com/townhall

  2. The County I live in Florida has recycling for everything except plastic. Just find that weird. I mean the depot a few miles from my house in farm country has recycling broken down to a science; different bins for different kinds of metal, paper, yard trash etc., but not one single recycling for plastic. That's weird, right?

  3. That 70% is completely dismissing the immense issue of methane and deforestation. That cheeseburger is a MUCH bigger deal than you guys ever talk about, why do you ignore this TYT?!

  4. Do Americans not find it insulting that their politicians consider cheeseburger deregulation to be a hot-button political issue that they can leverage in their campaign? I don't want to hear any american that doesn't find that offensive complaining when some european implies you're a bunch of dumb, fat, self-absorbed assholes.

  5. HOPE SHE GETS THE NOMINATION TRUMP WILL TRASH HER SO BAD ABOUT HER FAKE NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE IT WILL BE THE END 4 HER XD

  6. I think we should ban straws. What kind of grown ups use straws anyway. Save moving your head 4 inches so you create a tool that lasts forever in the ocean, its like being proud of our weakness that it's too hard to drink from a fkn cup… Fat lazy wankers. But i hate illegal immigration and our lax attitude towards it, i know BLACK people are more RACIST than white people, and far more violent. I know Islam is a shit belief system and muslims are over represented in violent crime in the west. But i would probably bang Anna too… What am i, I cant win

  7. To be clear, the reason that burgers are mentioned at all is that where the beef is supplied from is important.

Currently, a vast area of the Amazon is being Purposely burned to the ground by illegal (though tacitly supported by idiotic assholes like Authoritarian Jair Bolsonaro ) Slash & Burn farmers. The ground beneath South America jungle is extremely impoverished & otherwise lacking in nutrients. Once the jungle is removed, the land is barely capable of growing grass – even less so since the reduction/shifts in rainfall due to Anthropogenic Climate Change . All of this means that without expensive fertilizers to enrich the soil, they're forced to cut down ever more jungle in an Everlasting Cycle of Slashing & Burning – and it's all to support the farming of beef cattle .

Apartment from the CO2 being released in huge quantities from tens of thousands of fires across South America , the Amazonian Rainforest is perhaps the world's greatest producer of Oxygen (on land) & has been described – with good reason – as The Lungs of the Earth . With our planet teetering on the brink of disaster (thanks to the actions of a greedy few) we need this greenlife intact to continue to provide us with the very air that we breathe .

The biggest beef producing country on Earth is Brazil & huge amounts of this meat makes it's way into McDonald's burgers.

This horrifically destructive economy must be stopped and it's both the Beef Farming Mega-corporations , as well as their Food Industry Counterparts , who are profiting the most from the destruction of this Absolutely Priceless Natural Resource (individual farmers are only earning a pittance). So long as these corporations aren't penalised – either through Sanctions , Tariffs , or even Criminal Prosecution of Corporate Executives – then this decimation will continue to destroy a unique biological storehouse of potential bioproducts (including Antibiotics , Anti-virals , Anti-fungals , Cancer Treatments & who knows what else) which could benefit all of humanity .

  8. Why do people want to pay more for power to run their lights? Who cares if your lights use less power? Isn't that a good thing? They don't want to pay taxes, but they are happy to pay energy companies more money.

  9. go to detroit and tell poor black people you wanna raise their heating bill by 500 dollars a month, that is your plan btw

  10. A few big differences between Warren & Bernie:

    Bernie
has been committed to Medicare for All from the beginning. Warren only
recently declared she is fully supportive of Medicare for all.

    Unlike
Warren, Bernie is committed to small donor fundraising even in the
General election. Warren has said she would only do small donor
fundraising in the Primary, so Bernie won't feel any sort of pressure to
bend on his policy stances once elected.

Warren originally planned on voting for Ben Carson as Secretary of Housing, but then flip flopped when she was criticized.

    Warren
worked with republicans to repeal the 'Medical Device Tax' which would
have helped defund the ACA, in order to appease the Medical Device
    Industry in her state.

    Unlike
Warren, Bernie has a long history of progressivism dating back to the
60s. Warren was a staunch Republican up until the late 90s.

    Bernie
has also been one of the longest serving members of congress, he was a
mayor in Vermont, and has a lot of experience in governance compared to
    Warren.

    Warren voted twice
to increase the Military budget brought forth under Pres. Trump, which
appropriated over $81Billion for purchase of Aircraft, Weapons,
Missiles, and Combat Vehicles. On top of that it appropriated several
Billion dollars toward other parts of the DoD.

    Bernie
wants to cancel all student debt, Warren wants to implement a
means-tested solution. A Means-tested program will likely further split
people into the "haves" vs. "have-nots" and are easier to attack,
dismantle, and weaken. Take a means-tested program like Welfare vs a
universal program like Social Security as an example. Welfare is very
unpopular whereas Social Security is very popular.

    There
is also a more nuanced distinction between them I'd like to make, with
all the political differences aside. The one area I think Bernie
absolutely dominates where Warren doesn't, is with rhetoric.
They both are offering tons of plans, but to me Bernie is the only
candidate with a strong message of how it will all be executed. If you
want to implement even a fraction of either Warren's or Bernie's plans
you need a radical change in voter engagement in this country, and I
    have never seen a
politician who can rally young people and apathetic people into the
political process as well as Bernie has. In 2015 he was nothing but a
small Independent Senator from Vermont, and he went on to win 23
contests against the establishment backed former First Lady, Secretary
of State, and Senator of New York. Now he is arguably one of the most
popular politicians in America, and he has changed the political
rhetoric among leading Democrats. Just look at the incredibly
influential organizations that stemmed out of his 2016 campaign:

    Justice Democrats

    Brand New Congress

    Our Revolution

  12. Pocahontas is a scam artist like all democrats their solution is to ban everything and tax the shit out of everything and everyone and have complete control and power . Good luck with your plastic straw ban haaaaa!

  13. Bernie is still better at taking on Trump in the presidential reality show. When you put them next to each other most ppl will realize what an inferior human being Trump is.

  14. They are going after you lightbulbs, straws, and cheeseburgers.

It's more serious than that, though. Think Hunger Games.

  15. Republicans really have to perform some impressive mental gymnastic to bash Bernier, Warren, and AOC. I mean Trump is a million trust fund baby who had daddy bail his ass out of trouble time and time again. Not only does he have the eating habits of a toddler who hasn't read the food pyramid, he's a ugly orange skinned man child whose children are a dumb as he is. Honestly all the "criticism," republicans through at democrats are nothing more than projection and the phrase glass houses couldn't be more appropriate. Go ahead look at all the republican responses to this comment and see if they don't apply to Trump.

  16. if Trump wants to attack Warren he can just pick some of the comments of Bernie supporters on TYT Youtube page or any of the other progressive Youtube show hosts.

  17. If we cut what we give the fossil fuel industry, we could put that money into education, healthcare and things that actually improve a person's life.

  18. "They're going after your straws. They're going after your hamburgers". They literally said they wanted to ban straws and do something about America's meat consumption.

  19. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ oh trump is "manipulating" clips…? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  20. The only good thing about climate change, it will wipe out the KKK loving state of Florida which is a good thing for America!

  21. Even though the U.S carbon emissions has steady decline , how do you plan on cutting back on other developing countries i.e (China and India) who emit 3-5 times more than the U.S and EU combined?

  22. this is a problem that has been worked on for years, its critic to get aggressive now.future generations depend on all of us to care about their future.if we turn a blind eye and do nothing,we dont deserve planet earth.climate change is real,we can all do our part to slow it down until a better solution can be found. trump hates everyone,so his attacking e.warren isnt a surprise, hes like a pesky mosquito, always around, just not always feeding.

  23. I am a supporter of Elizabeth Warren. She is fantastic, and tells it like it is. I live way outside of town, and that means that when I need to do my shopping I have to drive in. There is no avoiding this. But I only go into town, for the most part, only once a week. I do most of my monthly grocery shopping in one go, only buying milk, egs, butter, bread, and other such basics when I go out on those one day trips. We have to focus on what she says……on our Planet. We have to force the people/industry dependent on fossil fuels to pull back, restructure, and find new and more efficient ways to finance and power our society. Fossil fuels are not infinite. We are rapidly running out of them, which is why the industry turned to Fracking. This has been a destructive method of getting the last drops out of a well, and it has destroyed vital fresh water sources for several communities. We have to say…enough. I think Elizabeth Warren can do that. I think she is a driven lady, who sees, knows, and will work hard for us. No. I'm not on her publicity team, but let me tell you this…in the years that I have been voting, since 1970, I have been able to see/foresee which politicians will do well for this government, and which ones will not. I tried to warn people against Trump. Unfortunately I was just one voice. No one wanted to listen. I'm an independent voter. I vote for the person I percieve to be able to do the job that needs to get done. I think she is the one to pick up the badly shattered pieces of our government, and get them working again. Who won't take excuses, who will simply expect the job to get done, and who won't take the questionable support of those who have too much money and too little brains to see what is good for the people. And time to get the rich to pay their fair share. Time for an Auntie Samantha to step in, grab the country by the scruff of the neck, shake it, and get it back to some semblance of productivity Trust a good woman to be able to do that. LOL. Yes. I had to go there.

  24. Warren is the corporate bobblehead. She takes the corporate money y'all! Look it up
Don't be fooled by her or tyt. Shame on tyt

  25. Lol, what is wrong with drinking a beverage without a straw. Like, OH NO ice touched my lips, I just can't bare it!! This is stupid, companies need to apply coffee type lids to cold drinks, same sippy hole….Do away with the straw issue.

  26. The American Lung Association has a list of most polluted cities in America.almost everyone comes from a democrat run city.liberals only care about environmental issues when its election time

  27. The biggest dillusion told in Western society, is that the people are the ones responsible for the solutions of the problems major corporations make. Yes, people thenselves need to live in a cleaner way, absolutely yes, we need to consume differently. But corporations need to change the most.

  28. Corporations (corpses) are vampires (egos/greed) that work in the dark to suck the "vital forces" (joy, beauty and harmony) out of life with their ignorance (absence of love) aka. "greed".

  29. Good Ol'…….Po-Ko-HAUNT-US….I'll bet she has more Native AmericanΒ "Bodily Fluid's" inside her then her next door neighbor does….So it all comes down to this one question……"Would you Pound Po-Ko" ?????? I know Bernie does !!!!!!

  30. to be realistic, is Republicans who are coming for your hamburgers and straws because when oil runs out, you won't have any more straws, when the climate has changed so much and there will be no more food for cows, you won't have your hamburgers anymore.

  31. right TYT …Bernie is out in space …. but Warren is right on point !!! NOT …. sounds more like dem establishment wishy wash incremental speak

  32. You know Sen. Elizabeth Warren is on point when so many Trumpanzees crawl out from under their rocks long enough to insult her online.

  33. I'm surprised that there even are right wingers still. Their representatives are weak pos with no environmental plan, no gun plan, no plans at all. No wonder Russians love the gop.

  34. The government has about as much business telling people what kind of light bulbs they can have as it does telling people what side of the road they must drive on ! There, I told them there damn lebrils good !

  35. Don't mean to be shallow, but gd Anna is so fine. So smart, so spunky, sooo beautiful. Not too many like her here in South Alabama haha. Love the hoops, and what a lovely shade of pink. Cenk must be in love with her, right? πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ”₯

  36. Idk why recycling isn't mandatory in the us. In Canada recycling is picked up with the garbage from our homes once a week. Recycling truck fallows behind the garbage truck. Most ppl pay for there rash by bag while recycling is free. You can make money from scrap mettle like pop cans. Stop burning your trash for the ppl out of town. Its not hard to make small changes red use reuse recycle teach it in schools like the rest of the developed world! America is dirty garbage everywhere on the side of the road etc. Makes me sad.

  37. Phuck Warren let Trump attack her . Phuck the POS Bitch . She is a lie and not progressive . TYT you suck on Warren . Ya make me sick .

  38. Supply and demand Cyenk. If you have all the cheeseburgers in the world, then the animal agriculture business have all the money in the world, they have all the demand of the world so they have to cut down all the trees in the world. There are 50 BILLION farm animals killed every year for cheeseburgers and other unnecessary food. It’s not only morally wrong but it’s an ecological disaster. The fossil fuel companies and the animal farming companies are powerful because we give them our money. STOP! πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’΅

  39. There are no excuses, no explanations only results. Quit blaming others. Be responsible for what actions are taken. NEVER tell anyone to do something that you are not already doing. Lower your personal carbon footprint. Command respect never demand it.

  40. I get it Chenk I don’t like paper straws either so now I don’t use any straws at all. And yes the corporations are the problem

  41. I don't care who "attacks" Warren anymore. She's not a viable candidate anyway. TYT should quit defending her and focus on her massive differences with Bernie…there is no comparison.

  42. Ah, the little liberal Indian girl. She can't take the heat. If Warren doesn't stand up and be a fighter now, Trump will crush her in the debates. Time to get up and fight for what you believe in. These liberal nuts have never worked a day in their life. So now they want to sit in the big dogs chair and realize they have to actually work.
